Keller Family Update

We are starting a new tradition – the Happy Valentines update. This way, our letter is likely to get its own spot on the mantle. Sarah and I spend many an evening reflecting on memories with family and friends and hope all is well with you. The year 2005 was another year of wonderful change for our family.

In April, Chris finished his last semester of the MBA program at Brigham Young University and secured a position with Hewlett Packard as a Product Marketing Manager over three Color LaserJet printers. It is fun to watch him. He loves technology and can’t stop talking about his job, his trips (New York in Oct., Arizona in Dec., San Fran for Macworld a few weeks ago and HP research next week in Germany, Italy and Denmark), people he meets or articles he is reading. Apart from work, Chris stays very busy ebaying, woodworking, taking pictures, and video, corresponding with friends and working with the young men in our church.

With the end of school, we left Provo and moved to Meridian, Idaho, 2746 N. Springtime Way, Meridian, Idaho 83642.
While we miss many things about Provo, we have quickly adjusted and have grown to love our new home. We are thrilled with our neighbors, the recreation we have found with our bikes, roller blades, strollers and swim gear. We never thought Boise could offer so much. Please visit if you are ever in the area.

I am still a full-time mom and enjoying it. I stay busy with the basics of running a household and spending time with my children and am noticing how my joy increases with their growth. I enjoy reading, decorating our home, working with the 8-9 year old girls in our church and exercising.

Caleb is our active 3 year old! He continues to surprise us with his outgoing friendliness. He is in preschool two days a week and loves it! He nightly prays over each of his friends and family and surprises us with the detail with which he remembers people and events. Wherever we go, he is introducing himself to others. “Hi, my name is Caleb. What is yours,” he shouts. He loves playing super heroes, dinosaurs and pokemon and spends hours imagining worlds. He is learning how to use the computer and amazes us with his ability. He loves wrestling with his sister Ellie, but can’t quite figure out why she doesn’t share in his enjoyment. What a great kid he is.

Ellie is our 17-month-old hells angel. Where oh where did she get her feistiness? I sure wasn’t this way. J One minute, we can’t contain her and the next, she surprises us with “to die for” smiles, puckered lip kisses and tiny fingers touching our face and hair. She loves to cuddle, say hello and play, play play. She is picking up her social cues from her brother and similar to him, focuses deeply on people. Such grown-up behavior shocks most who meet little Ellie.

All in all, we had a tremendous year. We were thrilled by the changes and felt so much personal growth. In this New Year, we are looking forward to more great memories. We look forward to the day our paths cross again. May God’s greatest blessings be yours.

Love,

Sarah, Chris, Caleb and Ellie Keller

Hey Chris and Sarah Keller!

You guys are so cute. It's good to see pictures and hear you guys are doing well. Glad you like Boise and your work with HP. If it makes you feel any better, Jen and I just bought an HP LaserJet (panchromatic) last weekend. But we're still using Windows-based machines...none of this Mac junk.

We're still in West Jordan, UT, enjoying life. We have two little girls: Abby (2.5 yrs.) and Leah (8 months).

Chris and Sara, we got your email and letter today and thoroughly enjoyed the update and pictures. Sounds like you are deservedly having a blast, although we miss you guys down here. Emily has a blog and loves getting comments, so I thought I would leave one here instead of an email--we love you guys!

Chris and Sara,

This is Ananda. Congratulations on the move and settling into Boise! I'm looking VERY forward to graduation this April, and it's off to General Mills for me in August. I'll be in Buffalo, NY, so if you need a place to stay ... ! I'll be in Kenya over the summer, working with microfinance. Looking forward to working with the people there. Take care!

Chris and Sara,
Nice use of "instructional technology". It is nice to see you haven't abandoned your "roots". Hope things continue to go well at HP. Things at CID continue to evolve. Greg has left to pursue other opportunities. My responsibilities now are just for QA and Evaluation. As you see, change is usual here. Good luck and we'll blog later.
